How To Start Making Beats

1. Choosing Your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)

The first thing you need to start making beats is a digital audio workstation, i dont know what exactly what a DAW is, but you need it. There are lots of digital audio workstations out there, to mention a few, there is FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro X and many more. The difference is some of them are free and some of them are quite expensive. But me myself, I use FL Studio, FL Studio is not free, but in my opinion its the easiest one to use, and there are more tutorials of FL Studio on Youtube than other DAWS.

2. The Equipment

About the equipment, you dont really need anything other than the things that im guessing you already have. To make beats you only need a laptop or a PC that is sufficient enough to run the DAW software without lagging too much. You don't really need a midi keyboard or some expensive monitor speakers when you're just beggining. For example, the requirements for FL Studio is any type of Processor, 4 GB RAM, and 4GB space on your computer or laptop.

3. What To Do?

To start making beats or music, what you should know first is what you want to make or the genre of music. After you decide the genre of music you want to do, my advise is you should go to youtube and search. For example me, i like the trap genre, so I went to youtube and I literally searched "How to make trap beats in fl studio" and from there i went to more advanced tutorials. So what I'm saying is just start first, it doesn't matter if you're beat sounds like crap, because honestly my first beats were really bad and until now my beats are still mediocre. And if you like Trap, I suggest that you check out Internet Money, Kbeazy, Mai, Kyle Beats and Busy Work Beats on Youtube.
